scratch art…
Here is my scratch art. It took about 4 art classes to finish.. I really enjoyed this project because it was relaxing and it wasn’t hard to finish.
new project…
Our class is starting a new project called scratch art. The purpose of it is to learn how to do cross hatching and shading. Students pick out a picture they want to draw and print it out in black and white. From there, you get a scratch board and a scratch tool and start scratching!
This project is extremely relaxing and gets you focused. I plan on making my scratch art on Jesus.

claymation characters..
My partner ,Kristen, and I have just finished our 4 characters from clay. Dante (jamaican guy) does not have a face yet but the others have eyes and noses. It took a lot of patience and extreme detail to make Dante.
I first started off with making his head and dreadlocks. I made several strands of black hair with rasta color beads on the ends. In order to make the clay people stand, we used wire and pipe cleaners inside their arms and legs. The secret to making your clay person stand is BIG shoes!
I painted the back round to make it look like a kitchen with water colors. The blank space between the sink and the door is for a stove made of clay.
Our next step is to start filming and making the story come to life!

kitchen of doom…
Our new project in Art we are starting is claymation. My partner and I will have to come up with a short story and make clay people. So far, Kristen and I think it would be a good idea to make a story about chefs in a kitchen trying to make food but having it turn into a disaster. Its called the Kitchen of Doom.
I will be sculpting clay and making a Jamaican guy with dreadlocks. The other charachter that i will make will be a mexican chef with a sombrero. Kristen is going to make an old man and a tall blonde girl.
We are really looking forward to get started on this new project. It will require patience and creativity. I will update pictures of our new claymation project soon!

my hands..

This is my first drawing in Art class. It took about 2 weeks to finish and it was hard to..
“Draw what you see, not what you think you see.”
Its easy to start from the outer form of the hand then work your way in to the details. The line variation makes the hands look alive and have depth. The farthest hand on the left hand corner was the hardest one to draw. I had to take a picture of my hand and use it as a reference to draw the hand. The two other hands were drawn just by looking at my hand.
I got the idea of drawing wings from a tattoo on a guys back.
